Michael J. Meier is an Executive Consultant at MJMconsults near Rochester, NY. He provides business development and technology planning services for startups and large multinational corporations. Previously CTO of Exelis Geospatial Systems (now L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems), he coordinated intellectual property and technology strategies across business units. He served on the Board of Directors of Infotonics. Before that, he was VP of Business Development at Exelis GS. He worked at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for the United States National Nuclear Security Administration. In addition, he provided management and technical support across the Department of Energy National Laboratories’ technology projects and reviewed federal budget plans. At Lockheed Martin Space Systems, he directed all remote sensing business development across commercial, civil, military, special space programs, and Advanced Technology Center business units. A continuous learner, his passion is electro-optical remote sensing, both as a career expertise and personal art form.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Case Western Reserve University, six patents, and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified.

How do I protect your proprietary information?
  • A negotiated Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is signed by both parties prior to any proprietary information transfer
  • A signed agreement in the client’s format is acceptable.
  • One of two copies of the NDA with original signatures is kept by MJMconsults.
  • Consider protection of the client’s identity, organization name, etc. as part of your agreement
  • By agreement, publish the client’s country, industry, and generic technologies that I am supporting
  • Work on EAR or ITAR protected information must be done in the client’s facility using appropriate client-supplied equipment and software
